      The simple answer is the opportunity came up. So in large part it was very lucky as I didn’t know at the time that there was a satellite manufacturer within driving distance of my home. Having gone to the interview and then offered the job I was very thrilled to have the chance so I snapped the offer up. OK I had the skills and experience the job required but luck also played a big part in why I am today in the Space industry.
